Buckinghamshire based company, Smartcomm, has received international recognition for its work in smart home technology. The company, who specialise in the design, installation and integration of electronic systems for both the commercial and residential markets, won the Integrated home up to €275,000 category at the annual EMEA InAVation Awards ‘09 for its work on ‘The Darlands’, a luxuriously contemporary family home situated in Greater London.
Thanks to Smartcomm’s expertise the stunning property, which was originally built in the 1930's, now boasts a fully automated audio-visual system, complete with Crestron Control.
Set in 6 acres of landscape gardens, the 10 bedroom property also features a dedicated Home Cinema System a with 60” HD Plasma, Multi-Room Audio, Lutron Homeworks Lighting System, Siedle Video and Audio Gate Entry System, CCTV with Wireless Transmission and a mixture of designed lighting effects with a playful colour changing lightbox and LED’s. The prestigious EMEA InAVation Awards recognise and reward high quality system design, installation and integration within the Commercial and Residential markets. 101 project entries were submitted and were evaluated by an independent panel of judges taken from the AV integration, Architectural, Building and Facilities Management industries. 32 companies made it through as finalists with the chance of winning one of eight Project InAVation awards.
